The Falcon and the Winter Soldier
Season One
TV · 2021 · 313 minutes · Phase Four
In the aftermath of Avengers: Endgame and the Blip, Sam Wilson grapples with whether to take up the mantle of Captain America while working a mission for the U.S. Air Force, and Bucky Barnes tries to atone for his past as the Winter Soldier while adjusting to civilian life. When the government instead bestows the shield on a new, government-sanctioned Captain America, John Walker, Sam and Bucky reluctantly team up to track down the Flag Smashers, a militant group led by the super-soldier Karli Morgenthau, uncovering a conspiracy tied to the Global Repatriation Council and the origins of the super-soldier serum along the way. The season culminates in Sam donning a new Wakandan-made suit to stop the Flag Smashers' attack on a Global Repatriation Council hearing, then fully embracing the shield and Captain America identity with an address to the GRC.
