The Falcon and the Winter Soldier
TV · 2021 · Phase Four
In the aftermath of Avengers: Endgame, Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes are thrown together on a mission that forces them to confront their differing views on what it means to carry on Steve Rogers's legacy, as Sam grapples with the government handing the shield to a new, government-sanctioned Captain America. Their investigation into the militant group the Flag Smashers, who oppose the return of national borders after the Blip, draws in the war criminal Zemo, who escapes prison with Bucky's help, and reveals the existence of the Power Broker and a new super-soldier serum. The six-episode limited series culminates in Sam reclaiming the shield and stepping forward as the new Captain America.
