Echo
Season One
TV · 2024 · Phase Five
After shooting Wilson Fisk during the events of Hawkeye, Maya Lopez flees New York and returns to her hometown in Oklahoma to reconnect with the Choctaw community and family she left behind. Flashbacks trace her childhood, the death of her father, and her rise within Fisk's criminal organization, including an earlier encounter with a masked vigilante later revealed to be Daredevil. As Maya confronts her past and reckons with the woman who raised her as much as Fisk did, she begins tapping into an inherited, mystical Choctaw power passed down through her lineage. Fisk, meanwhile, survives his gunshot wound and works to consolidate his empire while tracking Maya down. The five-episode season builds to a confrontation between Maya and Fisk that leaves her stepping fully into her identity as Echo, both a fighter and a leader of her community.
