Years after destroying the Kree Supreme Intelligence, Carol Danvers learns Hala's empire has collapsed into civil war, partly as a result of her actions. New Kree leader Dar-Benn wields a Quantum Band to tear open the jump-point network, causing an anomaly that makes Carol, Monica Rambeau, and Kamala Khan swap places whenever they use their powers simultaneously. The trio unites as "The Marvels" to stop Dar-Benn from draining planetary atmospheres to restore Hala; Dar-Benn is destroyed in the struggle, and Carol and Kamala combine their powers to empower Monica, who seals the resulting breach from the other side, stranding herself in an alternate universe.
