After shooting and gravely wounding Wilson Fisk/Kingpin during the events of Hawkeye, deaf Choctaw vigilante Maya Lopez flees New York and returns to her hometown in Oklahoma, weighing whether to regroup, hide, or seize control of Fisk's criminal empire herself. Reconnecting with the family and Choctaw community she left behind, she begins uncovering an ancestral legacy of strength passed down through generations of women in her bloodline, from the mythic first Choctaw ancestor Chafa through Lowak, Tuklo, and her own grandmother Chula. Fisk survives the shooting and, once recovered, sees Maya's betrayal as unforgivable and comes after her personally. Drawing on her rediscovered heritage and the support of her family, Maya confronts Fisk's enforcers and ultimately Fisk himself in Oklahoma. A post-credits scene shows Fisk, recovering from his injuries and rallying the city's remaining crime bosses, catching a news broadcast musing about a mayoral race and appearing intrigued by the opportunity it presents him.
