Loki and Mobius track down Hunter X-5, who has been living undercover as movie actor "Brad Wolfe" in 1977 London, and capture him. The pair travel to 1982 Broxton, Oklahoma, where they find Sylvie working at a McDonald's; reluctant at first, she agrees to help once she learns the TVA itself is under threat. Interrogating Wolfe reveals that General Dox has secretly been using a cadre of Hunters to destroy every branched timeline simultaneously; separately, the team learns Ravonna Renslayer has vanished together with Miss Minutes, apparently working with the rogue AI. Enchanting Wolfe again, Sylvie confirms the details of Dox's bombing plan, and the team rushes to stop the attack but arrives too late to save most of the branches, though Dox is captured. Disillusioned with the TVA's failure to protect the timelines it prunes, Sylvie leaves with He Who Remains' TemPad.
