Marvel Cinematic Universe · Loki: Season Two

Ouroboros — S02E01

TV · 2023 · 47 minutes · Phase Five

Thrown back to TVA headquarters after Sylvie sends him through a time door, Loki finds himself uncontrollably slipping through time and encountering TVA staff who no longer recognize him. He and Mobius uncover a recording of He Who Remains dated June 12, 2321, in which He Who Remains thanks Ravonna Renslayer for fighting alongside him in the Multiversal War and says he'll be proud to lead the TVA with her — revealing that Renslayer secretly co-founded the TVA with him and had that memory erased. With the organization in chaos from a flood of newly branching timelines, Mobius and Hunter B-15 persuade Judge Gamble to halt the pruning of branches, though General Dox remains unconvinced and covertly arms hunters to pursue Sylvie on his own agenda. Loki and Mobius seek out Ouroboros, a reclusive TVA technician, who diagnoses Loki's condition as "time-slipping" caused by an overloading Temporal Loom. After Loki slips forward to a future where the Loom is failing, Mobius manages to pull him back to the present just before it seals. A mid-credits scene shows Sylvie arriving in 1982 Broxton, Oklahoma.
