Black Widow
Film · 2021 · 134 minutes · Phase Four
Natasha Romanoff is forced to confront the darker parts of her ledger when a conspiracy tied to her past as a Black Widow assassin resurfaces. On the run as a fugitive following the fallout of the Sokovia Accords, she reunites with her estranged "sister" Yelena Belova and the rest of her former surrogate family, Alexei (Red Guardian) and Melina, to take down the Red Room and its leader, General Dreykov, and his mind-controlled enforcer Taskmaster. The mission forces Natasha to reckon with the family she never chose and the trail of harm left by her Red Room training. A mid-credits scene set after Natasha's death shows Yelena, already working for Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, visiting Natasha's grave before Valentina gives her a new assignment: killing Clint Barton.
