Jessica Jones

Season 2

TV · 2018

Jessica goes after IGH, the company behind the accident that gave her powers, and discovers that her mother Alisa survived the crash and was rebuilt by Dr. Karl Malus into a strong but volatile woman. Alisa's rages leave bodies behind, and Jessica is torn between shielding her and stopping her, while Trish grows hooked on an IGH inhaler and pressures Malus to give her powers too. Jeri Hogarth, newly diagnosed with ALS, chases a cure through the IGH-made healer Shane Ryback, and Malcolm digs up blackmail material on her law partners that lets her break away and set up her own firm, with Malcolm going to work for her. Jessica stops Malus from experimenting on Trish, and he destroys the IGH facility with himself inside. Alisa breaks out of custody and goes on the run with Jessica, until at a Playland amusement park Trish shoots Alisa dead to save her sister. Jessica cannot forgive Trish, who discovers that Malus's treatment did give her enhanced abilities.
