Daredevil

Season 2

TV · 2016

With Wilson Fisk in prison, Hell's Kitchen is torn by a gang war as a gun-wielding vigilante, Frank Castle (the Punisher), slaughters criminals, and Matt Murdock clashes with him over killing. Matt, Foggy and Karen end up defending Castle at trial, uncovering that a sting run by District Attorney Samantha Reyes got his family killed; Castle sabotages his own defence, declares himself guilty and is jailed, where Fisk manipulates him and then helps engineer his escape, seeing him as a future asset. Meanwhile Matt's ex-lover Elektra Natchios returns and pulls him into a fight against the Hand, an ancient order working through the Yakuza and Roxxon. Stick reveals that Elektra is working for him and that she is the Black Sky, a weapon the Hand reveres. In the finale Elektra sacrifices herself saving Matt from the Hand's ninjas, after which the Hand exhumes her body and places it in an ancient device, hinting at resurrection. Matt and Foggy dissolve their firm and Foggy joins Jeri Hogarth's practice, and Matt finally reveals to Karen that he is Daredevil.
