Loki and Sylvie reach the Citadel at the End of Time and finally meet He Who Remains, the enigmatic figure who created the Time Variance Authority to prevent a multiversal war between his own variants. He offers them a choice: kill him and risk unleashing chaotic variants of himself across a branching multiverse, or take control of the Sacred Timeline themselves. As Loki hesitates, Sylvie kisses him and shoves him through a TemPad portal back to TVA headquarters, deliberately removing him from the room before killing He Who Remains herself. Loki finds himself a stranger in an alternate TVA where no one recognizes him, while the timeline splits into an uncontrolled, branching multiverse.
