Marvel Cinematic Universe · Loki: Season One
The Nexus Event — S01E04
TV · 2021 · 48 minutes · Phase Four
Loki and Sylvie's growing connection triggers an unexpected Nexus Event, and the TVA hauls them in before the Time-Keepers, who order them deleted. Meanwhile Mobius secretly steals Renslayer's TemPad and uncovers a recording of Renslayer's own earlier interrogation of the pruned Hunter C-20, confirming she is a Variant just like Loki claimed the TVA's agents secretly are — but Renslayer catches him and has him pruned right in front of Loki. A flashback reveals young Sylvie's abduction from her Asgard by Ravonna Renslayer's Minutemen and her eventual escape from the TVA's courtroom. Freed by a doubting Hunter B-15, Loki and Sylvie fight their way to the Time-Keepers' chamber, where Sylvie beheads one and discovers they are lifeless androids, not the all-powerful rulers of time the TVA believes in. As Loki tries to tell Sylvie how he feels about her, a recovering Renslayer prunes him from existence too.
