Venom

Let There Be Carnage

Film · 2021 · 97 minutes · Venom Saga

Eddie Brock, still cohabiting uneasily with the alien symbiote Venom, tries to relaunch his journalism career by interviewing death-row serial killer Cletus Kasady ahead of his execution. During the interview Kasady bites Eddie, ingesting a piece of the Venom symbiote, and later survives his botched execution because the resulting offshoot symbiote, Carnage, breaks him free from prison. Kasady bonds fully with Carnage and sets out to reunite with his imprisoned childhood love, Frances Barrison (Shriek), while hunting down Eddie and the woman he loves, Anne Weying. Eddie and Venom must overcome their own escalating personal rift and learn to fight as one in order to stop Kasady and Carnage's rampage through San Francisco. In a mid-credits scene, Venom is mysteriously pulled into a hotel room in a different reality, where a television broadcast reveals that Spider-Man's secret identity as Peter Parker has just been exposed to the world.
