The Punisher
Season 2
TV · 2019
Frank Castle is drifting under a false name when he steps in to protect Amy Bendix, a teenage runaway being hunted by killers. Her pursuer is John Pilgrim, a soft-spoken, deeply religious enforcer working for the wealthy Anderson and Eliza Schultz, who want back the photographs Amy's crew took of their son, Senator David Schultz, in a hidden relationship, pictures that could be used against the family. Meanwhile Billy Russo, scarred and with gaps in his memory after the first season, is drawn back toward violence by his therapist Krista Dumont and rebuilds himself as the leader of a crew of his own. As the threads converge, Frank confronts the Schultzes and spares Pilgrim for the sake of Pilgrim's sons, and in the finale, after Madani shoots Russo and he nearly strangles her, Frank executes the wounded Russo. Frank then puts Amy on a bus to a fresh start, Madani moves to a new job at the CIA, and some months later Frank is shown fully embracing his role as the Punisher.
