Resurrection — S01E01

TV · 2023 · 55 minutes · Phase Five

In Moscow, an impostor posing as CIA agent Everett Ross is pursued by Talos across rooftops before falling to his death, his body reverting to reveal he was a Skrull all along. Fury is drawn back to Earth, where MI6 agent Sonya Falsworth briefs him on the crisis: a rebel Skrull faction, radicalized under Gravik, has splintered off, angry that Fury never found the Skrulls a new homeworld. Talos separately reunites with his estranged daughter G'iah, who has infiltrated Gravik's group and warns them of a real, imminent attack timed to Russia's Unity Day. Fury, Talos, and Maria Hill move to intercept the bombs based on G'iah's tip, but the explosives they seize turn out to be decoys — Gravik anticipated their interference and routed the real bombs through different couriers. Amid the resulting chaos, Gravik detonates the real explosives and, having lured Fury away disguised as a young girl, then takes on Fury's likeness to get close enough to shoot Maria Hill, who dies as the real Fury and Talos are forced to flee.
