Loki joins Mobius and the TVA on a mission to hunt the fugitive variant of himself, theorizing the Variant hides near apocalyptic events where actions can't alter the sacred timeline. The trail leads through Pompeii and a 2050 Alabama hurricane shelter, where the Variant ambushes the team and is revealed to be a female incarnation of Loki. She rejects Loki's offer to team up against the Time-Keepers, instead detonating stolen time-reset charges across the timeline, branching it explosively and plunging the TVA into chaos before escaping with Loki in pursuit.
