Isle of Joy — S01E08

TV · 2025 · 47 minutes · Phase Five

On Fisk's orders, Dex is moved from solitary into general population, while Fisk reveals Adam's imprisonment to Vanessa and lets her decide his fate — she shoots and kills Adam in cold blood after he pleads for his life, choosing her marriage and alliance with Fisk over the affair — and promotes Blake to Deputy Mayor of Communications. Piecing together that Foggy Nelson was celebrating a pending court win the night he was killed, Matt Murdock becomes convinced Fisk hired Dex to silence him, and after interrogating and wounding Dex in prison, the assassin kills a doctor and a guard using a shiv to escape. At Fisk's inaugural Black and White Ball, Fisk blackmails Jack Duquesne — secretly the vigilante Swordsman — and other guests into backing his Red Hook redevelopment, while BB enlists Gallo to help expose Fisk and the Anti-Vigilante Task Force. Murdock instead deduces that it was Vanessa, not Fisk, who hired Dex to kill Foggy, and confronts her at the ball. While dancing with Heather, Fisk privately taunts Murdock, telling him there would be consequences for what he'd been looking for, and Dex then arrives and opens fire on Fisk from the rafters, prompting Murdock to throw himself in front of the bullet.
