Whitney Frost convinces her husband Calvin Chadwick to frame Jason Wilkes as a communist spy for the destruction of Isodyne, prompting Peggy Carter to return to New York and recruit Howard Stark to investigate the Arena Club and the shadowy Council behind it. After a confrontation with Frost turns violent, Carter narrowly escapes a hitman, while Stark discovers that Wilkes survived the explosion but now exists in an invisible, non-corporeal state. Frost, meanwhile, demonstrates a terrifying new use of her Zero Matter powers by absorbing her film director, and the episode ends with Jack Thompson beginning to believe Carter's suspicions were right all along.
