Peggy and Jason Wilkes dig into Isodyne Energy's origins and learn the company stumbled onto Zero Matter while trying to replicate the Manhattan Project. Elsewhere, Calvin Chadwick meets with the secretive Council of Nine, who order his Zero Matter program shut down, a decision his wife Whitney Frost — the program's true scientific mind — only learns of after the fact. When Peggy and Wilkes attempt to steal the remaining Zero Matter, they run into Council agents destroying the lab, and a confrontation between Wilkes and Frost leaves both exposed to the substance: Wilkes vanishes and Frost absorbs it into her body.
