With the Salem Seven closing in, Agatha and Teen scramble to assemble a coven capable of opening a portal to the Witches' Road, a mystical path said to grant survivors their deepest desire — for Agatha, the restoration of her lost powers. Magic itself seems to block Agatha from learning anything about Teen's true identity. She recruits the divination witch Lilia Calderu, potions witch Jennifer Kale, and protection witch Alice Wu-Gulliver, and, unwilling to ask Rio Vidal for help, turns to gifted amateur gardener Sharon Davis to fill the coven's "green witch" role. Down in the basement, their sung ritual fails to open the Road's gate — because Agatha has secretly lured the group there as bait, intending to steal their combined rage and magic for herself, and the coven turns on each other in the fallout. Upstairs, Teen fends off the Salem Seven alone before racing down to warn the others, and amid the infighting the gate finally tears open, letting the makeshift coven flee through it just ahead of the Seven. On the other side, they remove their shoes and set out along the Witches' Road together.
