Danny Rand, believed dead since a childhood plane crash, walks back into New York fifteen years later to reclaim his place at his family's company. He is also the Iron Fist, a warrior trained in the mystic city of K'un-L'un, sworn to destroy the Hand, and he finds the Meachum family reluctant to welcome him back. With Colleen Wing and the dojo he meets along the way, Danny uncovers that Harold Meachum is still alive and bound up with the Hand, and he eventually brings down the cell that has infiltrated Rand Enterprises. Season two finds him trying to protect the city as a street-level hero while his old friend Davos, resentful at being passed over for the Iron Fist power, turns against him. Danny also has to contend with Ward Meachum's troubles and the unstable Mary Walker, and the season closes with Danny and Colleen setting out to take on the Hand's wider threat together.
