Norman reveals that the interns' projects have been building a gateway to space for Project Monolith, and ignores Doctor Strange's warning when he activates it. The symbiote comes through and attacks, and Strange's portal throws him and the alien back to Peter's first day at Midtown, where a spider carrying Peter's blood bites young Peter. Strange and the present-day Peter send the alien back to space and destroy the gateway, but a piece of the symbiote stays behind and Norman takes it. Harry launches his own company to support young inventors, Jeanne is revealed as the hero Finesse working with Daredevil, Lonnie takes over the 110th, and May visits Peter's imprisoned father.
