What If... Howard the Duck Got Hitched? — S03E04
TV · 2024 · 30 minutes · Phase Five · alternate
Newlyweds Darcy Lewis and Howard the Duck lay an egg together, and word of its birth during a rare planetary Convergence draws attention from across the multiverse. The Grandmaster lures the couple aboard his cruise ship under the pretense of celebration, secretly intending to consume their cosmically significant child, while the Ravagers, S.H.I.E.L.D., Kaecilius and his zealots seeking a host for Dormammu, the Dark Elves, and even Thanos all converge to claim the egg for themselves. Darcy and Howard flee to Jotunheim and take shelter with a Frost Giant variant of Loki as the factions close in. When the egg finally hatches while the couple sing to it, it unleashes a wave of cosmic energy that destroys the assembled villains, including Malekith, Kaecilius, and Thanos. Nick Fury, arriving in the aftermath, opts to let Darcy and Howard raise their powerful hybrid child themselves rather than take the newborn into custody.
