What If... Agatha Went to Hollywood? — S03E02

TV · 2024 · 30 minutes · Phase Five · alternate

In an alternate post-World War II Hollywood, Agatha Harkness discovers that the dormant Celestial Tiamut lies hidden beneath the Earth and schemes to siphon his immense power for herself. To gain the resources and cover she needs, she partners with a young Howard Stark to star in his film production "Cosmic Queen," using the set as a front for her plan. On the shoot she clashes with Kingo, a Bollywood-star Eternal moonlighting as an actor, who initially confronts her but is eventually drawn into her scheme. Agatha exploits the production's access to Griffith Observatory to tap into Kingo's Eternal energy and absorb Tiamut's power, using it to face down the Celestial Arishem. In the end, Kingo talks Agatha out of pursuing outright world domination, convincing her instead that cinema's ability to inspire people is a more lasting kind of power.
