What If... Hela Found the Ten Rings? — S02E07

TV · 2023 · 30 minutes · Phase Five · alternate

In this alternate timeline, Hela grows too ruthless as Odin's executioner during his campaign to conquer the Nine Realms, and when Odin renounces warmongering she tries to seize Mjolnir and overthrow him. Odin shatters the hammer, strips Hela of her power, and casts her crown down to Midgard, where it lands in China and is found by Wenwu alongside his Ten Rings. Wenwu captures the now-powerless Hela, but she escapes and takes refuge in Ta Lo, where Jiayi trains her in its mystical ways and helps her realize her lust for power was really a longing for freedom from her father. When Odin comes to claim the Ten Rings for himself, Hela and Wenwu join forces, and Hela channels a new light-based power to help defeat him. She reclaims her crown, now gleaming white, and Odin cedes his throne to her; she and Wenwu then travel the cosmos together bringing peace to other worlds.
