What If... Captain Carter Fought the Hydra Stomper? — S02E05

In this alternate reality, Captain Carter and Natasha Romanoff track down Steve Rogers, who vanished in 1953 and has spent decades trapped inside a corrupted Hydra Stomper suit after being brainwashed by the Soviet Red Room. Peggy and Natasha infiltrate the Red Room's operations, working to free Steve from Melina Vostokoff's control and dismantle the organization from within. Steve fights his own conditioning as the suit keeps him alive, and the mission builds toward a climactic confrontation with the Red Room's forces. In the battle's aftermath, Steve sacrifices himself to stop the threat, leaving Peggy alone with the loss. The episode ends on a multiversal cliffhanger as Captain Carter is pulled through a portal into an alternate, Renaissance-styled reality where she encounters unfamiliar variants of Nick Fury and Wanda Maximoff.
