Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Season 7
TV · 2020
With a Life Model Decoy of Phil Coulson now on the team, the agents are thrown back to 1931 New York and then forward through decades of S.H.I.E.L.D. history as they try to stop the Chronicoms from rewriting the past and occupying Earth. Stranded without a way home, they hop between eras, meeting figures such as Daniel Sousa in 1955 and helping Deke lead a band and S.H.I.E.L.D. in 1982, while shielding the organisation's early days from Hydra's Malick family. Nathaniel Malick, allied with Sibyl, steals the powers of Daisy and her half-sister Kora and kills Daisy's mother Jiaying, and Deke ends up killing Nathaniel's father Wilfred. Fitz is pulled from the original timeline through the Quantum Realm, and removing Simmons's memory implant restores her memory of him and their daughter Alya. In the finale Daisy destroys the Chronicom fleet and kills Sibyl and Nathaniel, while the Chronicom Enoch sacrifices himself, leaving behind an example of empathy for his people. A year on, in the original timeline Mack is S.H.I.E.L.D. Director in the mould of Nick Fury with Yo-Yo leading an elite team, Fitz and Simmons raise Alya, May heads the Coulson Academy, Daisy explores space with Sousa and Kora, Coulson wanders the world, and Deke stays behind to lead S.H.I.E.L.D. in the branched timeline.
