Time and Tide — S01E03

While maintaining her cover at the phone company, Peggy Carter races to clear Howard Stark's name after the SSR ties a dead operative and a long-range transmitter to him and hauls in Stark's butler, Edwin Jarvis, for interrogation. Carter frees Jarvis and the two search Stark's vault together, discovering stolen weapons hidden in a ship beneath his house; in the sewers below, Jarvis confesses he forged papers to save his Jewish wife Ana during the war, an act that cost him his military career and nearly his life. After Jarvis anonymously tips the SSR to the weapons cache, an unknown assailant ambushes the transport, killing the captured guard and Agent Krzeminski, leaving the SSR to blame Stark for a tragedy Carter unwittingly set in motion.
