Sam Raimi's Spider-Man Trilogy

Spider-Man 3

Film · 2007 · 139 minutes · Raimi Trilogy

Peter Parker is thriving as both a celebrated Spider-Man and Mary Jane Watson's boyfriend, but his life unravels as multiple threats converge. Harry Osborn, having discovered Peter is Spider-Man and blaming him for his father Norman's death, dons his father's Goblin technology to avenge him, loses his memory of the vendetta in the ensuing fight and briefly reconciles with Peter, then relapses once his memory returns. Escaped convict Flint Marko is transformed by a particle accelerator accident into the shape-shifting Sandman and is revealed to be his uncle's actual killer. An alien symbiote crash-lands on Earth and bonds with Peter, amplifying his aggression and arrogance, driving him to publicly humiliate Mary Jane by dancing with Gwen Stacy at a jazz club and rupturing their relationship. After Peter rejects the symbiote, it bonds with jealous rival photographer Eddie Brock, who becomes the monstrous Venom. Peter reconciles with Harry, confronts Sandman's role in his uncle's death, and together with Harry defeats Venom and Sandman, though Harry is fatally wounded shielding Peter from Venom and dies in his arms.
